myFSG is a desktop program which creates FSG reports in native Excel file.

Background

FSG report in Oracle EBS, a tool exists since 20+ years ago, is still the most widely-used financial reporting tool for EBS community.  About 10 years ago Oracle introduced Report Manager module which used XML Publisher to create FSG reports in different formats. A replacement of Application Desktop Integrator (ADI), it intended to help users to create FSG reports in a more user-friendly yet secure environment.  However it does not provide the most cruical feature that ADI provide — create reports at user’s desktop.

For mid-size companies which reluctant to buy third-party reporting tool, FSG is the only tool to create finance report. Creating column set, row set, include or exclude ledger accounts, column alignment, etc drive many finance users crazy every day.  Even a report is created, the Excel output still requires a lot of manual changes in order to meet usable standard.  Moreover, the XML publisher reports cannot handle up to 30 columns, and the style are not flexible enough to fit corporate look-and-feel.

Example Reports

These reports are generated from standard R12.1 Vision database using responsibility “General Ledger, Vision Operations (USA)”.  All reports are created directly from myFSG without any extra modification.

• Style template can be customized to fit your company design standard
• One style template can apply to all FSG report, regardless number or column
• If FSG report contains Content Set which can generate multiple reports, each report becomes a  worksheet, and if needed a Home worksheet which contains links for all worksheet (e.g. Analysis Report).
